Director of Education, Employee and Occupational Health
Lakewood Health System in Staples, Minnesota, an independent, integrated rural healthcare system.
The Director of Education, Employee and Occupational Health will develop,
implement, coordinate and evaluate education, employee and occupational health services for external and internal customers,
leading the LHS Education, Employee and Occupational Health department. Primary functions include; hiring, supervising and
evaluating department staff at multiple locations, program planning and scheduling, developing and implementing policies and
procedures, cultivating community health-business clientele, administration of general orientation, coordination of required
in-services for all employees, community education programming and oversight of occupational health services.
This is a full-time, exempt position working 80 hours/ pay period. Hours are primarily days,
flexibility is required to meet demands of position needs. Travel is required between the multiple locations of Lakewood Health System,
as well as various communities' businesses.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate/Masters degree in nursing,
health education, business or management required. Two years of health care management and/or supervisory experience also required.
All candidates must have demonstrated Microsoft and other computer software competencies, interpersonal interdisciplinary skills,
critical thinking skills, exceptional communication skills, be adept at problem solving and possess organizational and goal-setting skills.
Candidates that have marketing/ sales experience are detail-oriented, creative and imaginative will be given preference.
